Kang Yan, lecturer, a PHD candidate of linguistics, acquired her Master’s Degree of Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Renmin University of China. Her main research area: cross-cultural comparative study, the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and history of Chinese language etc. Teaching courses: language skills, undergraduate major courses and method of teaching Chinese etc. Since she worked in the School of International Cultural Exchange, she has published several academic papers and one textbook for teaching Chinese as a second language. She has presided over one independent research project of Lanzhou University and participated in several national and school projects. In 2013, she has been awarded with the prize “Longji Teaching Talent of Lanzhou University”.
